Receive Coupon Alerts via Twitter
According to what I learned at the Electronic Retailing Association conference, 30% of you will love this idea, 30% will think it’s the stupidest thing they’ve ever heard of, with the remaining 40% falling somewhere in between.
You can now receive coupon updates via Twitter courtesy of MyCoupons.com.
Receiving coupon updates to my cell phone isn’t particularly useful since I’d rarely be in a position to use the coupons when I receive the tweet. However, one could subscribe to the MyCoupon’s Twitter RSS feed in their favorite RSS reader and browse the latest offers at a more suitable time.
One other thing: the system isn’t perfect. For example, this Kohl’s coupon fails to mention that a Kohl’s credit card is required for eligibility.
