Diane Krenz Follows Many Anti-Abortion Extremists

Diane Krenz appears to be a threat to women’s health, which is disqualifying for someone campaigning to be the Hennepin County prosecutor. I’m basing my opinion on Krenz’s public online behavior. We cannot elect a county prosecutor who won’t stand up for the rights of Hennepin County’s women.

I took a look at who Diane Krenz is publicly following on Facebook to get a sense of her politics. While the race is non-partisan, you can learn a lot about a candidate based on who supports them, who they endorse (such as Krenz’s support for a transphobic candidate), or who they choose to follow.

Here are a few reasons why it looks like Diane Krenz would not protect women in Hennepin County from attempts to restrict access to abortions.

Krenz follows some of the most militantly anti-abortion members of the MN Legislature. This includes GOP Sen Eric Lucero, who justifies his control of women’s bodies through religon:

Krenz, a candidate for Hennepin County Prosecutor, is choosing to follow a GOP politician representing parts of Wright, Sherburne, and Anoka Counties who is strongly religiously devoted to restricting the rights of women in Minnesota.

Krenz also follows former GOP Rep, Jeremy Munson, who boasts on his current campaign website that he voted for legislation to force women to watch an ultrasound of their fetus before having an abortion.

Krenz, a candidate for Hennepin County Prosecutor, is choosing to follow a GOP politician from Brainerd who is so forced birth that he has a page devoted to showing that he’s been 100% against women’s right to choose when given a chance to vote on the issue.

Diane Krenz also follows one of the biggest right-wing trolls of the legislature, Sen Steve Drazkowski. Drazkowski is probably better known for his racism than his reliable voting against the rights of Minnesota women to control their own bodies, but here he is boasting about the US Supreme Court taking away rights from women in America.

Krenz, a candidate for Hennepin County Prosecutor, is choosing to follow a GOP politician from Mazeppa, MN who reliably votes to restrict the rights of MN women. Drazkowski was also one of the most vocal supporters of ICE during Metro Surge where ICE was abducting and murdering Minnesotans. Krenz is proactively following one of the state’s top losers.

Diane Krenz also proactively follows a group of extreme right-wing women who are so clownishly right-wing that they support the pillow guy.

Krenz, a candidate for Hennepin County Prosecutor, is choosing to follow a right-wing group that has movie nights where they watch propaganda films from people like Liz Collin, then discuss how to make women’s healthcare worse in Minnesota. Reminder: Lindell was the executive producer of a misleading anti-abortion documentary.

Additionally, Diane Krenz is following national organizations that fight to restrict women’s reproductive rights, including Moms for America Action. This is what that group had to say about VP Harris in 2024:

“Harris is directly responsible for hiding evidence of infanticide and the unjust persecution of peaceful anti-abortion activists including grandmothers and concentration camp survivors, who have been arrested and imprisoned and sometimes at gunpoint,” an email press release from Moms For America Action stated.

“Prop 139 is an extension of the extremism promised by Harris when she vows to enshrine unrestricted abortion into the US constitution if elected,” the press release added. “This ballot initiative, if passed, would allow a physician with a financial interest in selling abortion services to commit an abortion at any point in pregnancy — something even most Democrats oppose.”

From conception. Got that? That’s a complete abortion ban.

Fun fact, in addition to being anti-abortion, the group Krenz is proactively following is also toxic in many other ways:

But Moms for America has also been a major player in pushing voter suppression, election denialism, attacks on public schools and COVID-19 misinformation.

Moms for America, which was created in 2005 as “Homemakers for America” and recently designated by the Southern Poverty Law Center as an anti-government extremist group, deserves greater scrutiny for its role in January 6 and other efforts to undermine democracy.

Seriously:

Moms for America’s Ties to January 6

Moms for America and its staffers helped organize the January 5 “Stop the Steal” rally the day before the far right attack at the U.S. Capitol. Founder and President Kimberly Fletcher, who spoke at the January 5 rally, was subsequently subpoenaed by the House January 6 committee. During her deposition, Fletcher pled the Fifth Amendment to nearly every question posed to her, but the committee referenced exhibits demonstrating the high level of involvement Moms for America and its representatives played in organizing the event.

This group does endorsements, including some in Minnesota. Krenz is proactively following an organization that had endorsed some of the most clownishly extreme members of the MN legislature.

When I saw clownishly right-wing, here’s an example of what I mean. These are people who are too extreme for some pro-life groups.

According to Senator Nathan Wesenberg, the fake pro-life group, MCCL, has previously “begged” Wesenberg not to introduce life at conception votes because they are “too extreme”. A4L recently exposed how corrupt this organization truly is in previous reporting and how the House voted on this in other reporting. Wesenberg’s amendment also disproves the lie that the MCCL pushes about the legislature having no influence on abortion and Planned Parenthood funding.

Krenz, a candidate for Hennepin County Prosecutor, is choosing to follow a right-wing group that worked to overturn Roe by getting Amy Coney Barrett appointed to the US Supreme Court. She follows their action committee and PAC.

If elected, Krenz would have the power to make life worse for Hennepin County residents by bringing the values of rural religious right-wing extremists to the largest county in the state.

In a nutshell, Diane Krenz’s values are not Hennepin County’s values. Krenz should be rejected at the polls.
